About Malchuta

Malchuta is a colorful and captivating boutique gallery in the heart of the magical village of Ein Kerem, on the outskirts of Jerusalem.

In the center of the village, we created our Queendom. A place where we could be present at the center of our own being, and bring our light to the world.

While the world was experiencing the crisis of the Corona period, and the entire atmosphere was chaotic, a gateway opened for us to fulfill a dream. We came together, Leah and Stav, and took a leap of faith during the first lockdown. We made the decision to open the store and set off together.

We felt it was time to strengthen local art, female creativity and independent businesses—for ourselves and for those around us. In addition to our own creations, Leah and Stav's colorful store serves as a stage for local female creativity and provides a platform for many more female artists from Jerusalem and the surrounding area. And we look forward to so much more....

Entering our shop is an experience that opens the heart. Your senses awaken to vibrant colors, the air is filled with wonderful fragrances, and the heart encounters the heart of the artists within each craft, offering a beautiful experience of human connection.

At Malchuta you will discover handcrafted jewelry, ceramic ware, natural cosmetics, original floor and wall tiles, and many other treasures to inspire the body, mind, and home. Each item is uniquely and beautifully handcrafted, awakening the spirit within the material and the soul within the home.

They say that art is the majesty of the world—the grace and kindness in everything. May we be blessed to feel this and truly live it. May everyone who enters Malchuta feel a little more connected to themselves. Malchuta is here to uplift you!!!

Stav Hoffman
A creator and designer of handcrafted jewelry for over 14 years.
Stav weaves and knits gold threads with gemstones, pearls, and crystals, transforming them into enchanting, majestic pieces.
She also crafts natural cosmetics that heal and nourish both body and soul.

Five things you might not know about me, but should!

I raised four sweet children in the space of four years and they are my light…
For every Shabbat, I prepare 18 salads (I try, sometimes I make 16 🤪)
I used to have really long dreadlocks (I still secretly miss them to this day)
I attended over nine schools in Israel and around the world because of my father's job.
And no, I didn't learn to make jewelry anywhere. It's just been my hobby since I was 19.

A multidisciplinary artist and creator specialising in painting, tile design, kitchen rugs, ceramics, and jewelry.

Leah creates works inspired by tribal forms and still life, with color combinations that evoke deep emotion, delighting the heart and uplifting the soul.

Five things you might not know about me, but should!

I have been practicing African dance for over 10 years.
I studied at the "School of Visual Theater," from where I graduated as a video editor. (Search on YouTube!)
I've been working since I was 12; financial independence has always been important to me.
I grew up in Moshav Mevo Modi'im, an artisan village of followers of Rav Shlomo Carlebach.

So... what exactly is "Malchuta"?

"Malchuta" is the Aramaic word for royalty

In Kabbalah, this is the most earthly feminine Sefirah, the grounded mirror of the Crown

It reflects majesty that is connected to the world, the earthly, the material, and to Mother Earth.

We have this slang-phrase, "Be in your own Malchut"—a constant reminder to check with one's internal compass: "Am I living my own story, am I radiating my light?" "Am I being inauthentic?" "Have I drifted away from my center?"

Malchuta is a desire and prayer that everyone who connects with us becomes a little more connected to their inner core and to their own magnificent powers.
